Getxplain.ai is intended for children aged 6 years and older. All content, language complexity, visual design, and interaction patterns are carefully crafted to suit this age group. The AI tutor adapts its vocabulary and explanation depth based on the child's age and comprehension level, ensuring every lesson is both accessible and appropriately challenging.

Younger children (under 6) should use the app only under direct parental supervision, as the reading and comprehension requirements may exceed their developmental stage.

Content Safety Guarantee

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any content that is inappropriate for children. The following categories of content are strictly prohibited and actively filtered from all AI-generated responses, lessons, quizzes, and interactions within the app:

• Violence & Harm — No depictions, descriptions, or encouragement of violence, physical harm, self-harm, bullying, or any form of cruelty towards people or animals.
• Sexual Content — Absolutely no sexual content, nudity, suggestive imagery, innuendo, or age-inappropriate romantic themes of any kind.
• Drugs & Substance Abuse — No references to recreational drug use, alcohol consumption, tobacco, vaping, or any substance abuse. Medical and scientific topics (e.g. "how does medicine work?") are explained in a strictly educational and age-appropriate context.
• Profanity & Hate Speech — No profane language, slurs, insults, discriminatory language, or content that promotes hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or any other characteristic.
• Horror & Fear — No content designed to frighten, shock, or cause distress. Topics like space, nature, or history are presented with wonder and curiosity, never with disturbing imagery or narratives.
• Gambling — No gambling mechanics, simulated betting, loot-box systems, or any features that mimic gambling behaviour.
• Misinformation — AI responses are grounded in verified, curriculum-aligned educational content. The system is designed to decline speculative, conspiratorial, or factually inaccurate answers.
• Dark or Occult Themes — No content involving dark magic, occult practices, satanism, or any supernatural themes that could be disturbing to children. Fantasy elements (e.g. fairy tales) are presented in a light, positive, and clearly fictional context.
• Political & Ideological Content — No political propaganda, ideological manipulation, or content designed to influence children's political views. Historical and civic education is presented factually and neutrally.

Getxplain.ai is committed to a completely ad-free experience. Children will never encounter advertisements, sponsored content, promotional pop-ups, or branded integrations of any kind within the app.

• No Advertisements — Zero display ads, video ads, banner ads, or any form of advertising. The app is funded through optional subscriptions, never through ad revenue.
• No In-App Purchase Pressure — Free features are fully functional. Subscription upgrades are presented only to parents through clearly marked parental sections, never directly to children.
• No Manipulative Design — The app does not use dark patterns, countdown timers, artificial urgency, or pressure tactics to encourage purchases or extended use.
